Curious Turtle!

(photo taken at Oklahoma Botanical Gardens)

Saw this little one slowly emerging from the greenery and simply had to take its photo.  Just puts a smile on my face to capture these moments.

I hope it put a little smile on your face as well.

Chisholm Trail Museum

While out and about this past December, we stopped by the Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher,Oklahoma. Behind the museum they have multiple buildings of yesteryear, which they have named: The village.  This particular picture is of the old one room school-house. As soon as you walk into the building, you get a sense of another time and place. Days gone by…a simpler time, but by no means, an easier time.  We had a wonderful time walking around and looking at and going into all of these awesome buildings. There is a bank, blacksmith shop, Dalton cabin, church and lots more to see. So, when you are in the area, take an hour or two and visit this remarkable museum…It’s all about Oklahoma history and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face…especially if you are a history nut, like we are :) -
