If you know of anyone who has been furloughed and is working without pay, a gift card from Crest foods or Walmart, etc. would be a blessing!

I know people have good intentions when they donate canned goods and used items to those who could use some help. However, by giving gift cards, this allows people to hang on to the dignity they’re trying so hard not to lose! They can, at the very least, go to the store and purchase what their specific family needs, without having to settle for someone’s pantry and closet clean-out.

I’ve personally received both in times of crisis and I’ve given both in times of crisis. It’s entirely up to you and whatever you’re capable of providing. I remember those days, and I know whatever you can help with, will be appreciated!
